$1,542 SSDI direct payments are issued today – disability benefits will be sent next week too

The first payment of SSDI benefits will be made on November 13, 2024. In order for you to get your money this payday, the Social Security Administration will check that your birthday is correct.

Keep in mind that this money will only go to people whose birthdays are between January 1st and October 10th. Besides that, you won’t be able to apply if either of these two things are true.

To begin, you won’t be able to get SSDI on November 13 if you applied for and got Disability Insurance benefits before May 1997. The fact that you get Supplemental Security Income benefits is another thing that keeps you from being eligible.

SSDI payments after November 13

On November 13, SSDI recipients will get their payment. Other people will not get their payment until November 20 or November 27. Either way, you will need to meet the birthday requirement to be eligible.

People who get SSDI and whose birth dates are between November 11 and November 20 will get their money on November 20. If your birthday is after that date, you will get your money on November 27.

On November 29, 2024, after November 27, 2024, you will get an SSI check or direct deposit. The SSI payment for December 1 has been moved to that date. This is the payment for that date. SSI is also for people with disabilities who are eligible.

Eligibility for an SSDI check or deposit worth $1,542

People in the U.S. can use this as a rough example of what a disability payment might look like. In 2024, people who make a lot of money can get up to $3,822 from Social Security Disability Insurance.

More than likely, though, most payments are more like the average of $1,542. The amount of SSDI money you get is based on:

  • the number of years you have worked
  • the wages you earned as a worker
  • the age you filed for Disability Insurance
  • the time and amount of taxes you spent on jobs covered by Social Security
