Here are my predictions for two big moves before the Chiefs start camp in St. Joe:
Big Move #1:
Trade a 2023 second round pick, 2023 fourth round pick, and a 2023 sixth round pick along with JuJu Smith Schuster to the Washington Commanders for Terry McLaurin.
Yes, you read that correctly. McLaurin is 26 years old, a proven veteran in a terrible organization, and is the perfect Andy Reid style wide receiver. Sign him to a long-term deal and pair him with Skyy Moore and Marques Valdez Scantling, and you have a top 5 WR Corp this season. This will also buffer against the eminent loss of Mecole Hardman, who will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Washington has stated they are not interested in moving him, but they are in full rebuild mode and everyone knows it.
This is a low-risk trade. Yes, he will command a mega contract, but that is OK.
Big Move #2:
Sign UFA DT Ndamukong Suh.
Get him on a friendly 2-year deal. Age is a consideration, but the man still produces at a high level. His nasty streak could be just the thing that puts this defense into a top half unit in the NFL.
Have I mentioned he never misses games? Suh has only two missed games since he was drafted. Paired with Chris Jones, suddenly the defensive line is a unit of strength.
