If you read my article from May 27, you know that I am a big advocate for Ndamukong Suh. The Chiefs lost Jarran Reed in free agency to the Packers. While Mr. Reed was not an all-pro, he was a steady run stopper and chewed up a lot of snaps. Currently lining up next to Chris Jones, the Chiefs have the combination of Turk Wharton, Khalen Saunders, Derrick Nnadi, and Taylor Stallworth.
Stallworth could be a steal per PFF rankings in 2021. Also, this was not a position addressed in the draft, so my conviction for bringing in Suh on a one- or two-year deal has only been emboldened.
The signing of Carlos Dunlap was a big help, but in my opinion, we are not there yet Chief Fans. Other Free Agent DTs to bring in could include Corey Peters formerly of Arizona, Eddie Goldman formerly of Chicago, or go after another veteran free agent in DE/Edge Trey Flowers.
Suh brings in a nasty streak to compliment Chris Jones. Suh does not miss games, he is Mr. Reliable. All the Chiefs need is 20-30 snaps a game out of him. Suh is probably only interested in teams that are championship ready. Suh is unemployed and wants to play, why not ply his trade in Kansas City?
