It is a well known fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the best teams in the NFL. Having such a great time requires players that are also some of the best at their position. For this Thanksgiving, here are some playmakers that we here at Chiefs Focus are thankful for.

1. Patrick Mahomes

It is no secret that Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league. He currently is the NFL leader in both passing yards(3,260) and touchdowns(28). He has done so while maintaining the league’s second highest QBR of 78.4.

Mahomes has led the team to average the league’s highest offensive yards per game (429.3) and points per game(30). QB1 has been truly remarkable and has led the Chiefs to another great season.

2. Isiah Pacheco

The young rookie has molded in Kansas City’s number one guy out of the backfield. He has become a great addition to this Chiefs offense. He currently has the 12th highest yards per carry in the NFL with an average of 5.1. It has been great having this young, explosive back in Kansas City.

3. Travis Kelce

ESPN

Travis has had an unbelievable performance this season. He continues to be Mahomes’ number one guy and never fails to impress us all. He currently is the league leader for receiving touchdowns with 11 and has the 6th most receiving yards(855) on the season.

4. Nick Bolton

Fox4KC

Nick Bolton has been on an extremely dominant run this season. He is developing into one of the league’s best linebackers. The combo of Bolton and Willie Gay has become arguably the greatest position duo in the league. Bolton has the 6th most total tackles in the NFL with 95 and the 4th most solo tackles with 64. His phenomenal performance has led Kansas City to allow the 5th least rush yards per game across the league.

5. Chris Jones

Chris Jones has put together yet another impressive season. He has rallied the defense and is another huge contributor to the team. Jones has the 5th most sacks in the NFL with 9 and the 8th most tackles for a loss with 10. He has put up these stats all while frequently being double or even triple teamed. His dominance has often opened the door for others to make plays as well.

6. Brett Veach, Andy Reid and the entire front office

The Athletic

While praising all of the great players in Kansas City, it is important to also praise the guys responsible for the magic. Kansas City has an extremely young core, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The front office has done a great job both drafting and acquiring good players and developing them into great players. It is incredibly impressive when you consider the fact that the Chiefs are on top of the NFL during a “rebuild year”. Andy Reid has done a phenomenal job scheming giving players opportunities. The entire Chiefs Kingdom is beyond thankful for these guys.

7. The entire organization

There are countless other stars that are due credit for Kansas City’s success. From the scout team to the front office, having such a great franchise takes hundreds of contributors.

We here at Chiefs Focus are thankful for everyone of them and the great job they are doing. We look forward to yet another Super Bowl run.

Happy Thanksgiving and Go Chiefs!
