Before the new league year begins this Wednesday, Monday is officially the legal tampering window for free agents, which means teams can agree to deals unofficially. The Chiefs offensive line will do some shuffling next year.
Former Chiefs offensive tackle Andrew Wylie has agreed to a three-year, $24 million deal with the Washington Commanders. Wylie now joins former offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy in Washington. Wylie started 59 games in five seasons for Kansas City. However, they have made a big investment in another offensive lineman.
It is also reported that the Chiefs have signed former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Jawann Taylor to a four-year, $80 million contract. Taylor played for four seasons in Jacksonville and has started every single game in his career. Per reports, pending another move, the Chiefs plan to convert Taylor to left tackle replacing, Orlando Brown, Jr.
Chiefs Kingdom! 🗣️🙌🏽

Late Monday night the Kansas City Chiefs resigned veteran Defensive Lineman, Tershawn Wharton to a one-year, $2M contract. It’ll be his fourth season in a Chiefs uniform. Wharton was hurt early in the 2022 season, but he was playing at a high level before his season-ending injury. He’s not projected as a starter, but he adds much-needed depth along the defensive front.
The #Chiefs are re-signing DL Tershawn Wharton to a 1-year, $2M deal, per source. 24-year old former UDFA has racked up five sacks in three years for KC. He'll continue to develop with the Champs.
