4 Arrested At Lexington Park Gas Station: DUI, Cocaine, Weapons, And A Dramatic Foot Chase

At the Shell Gas Station, 22141 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD, on December 22, 2024, Sr. Tpr. Oyler and Tpr. Abdel Wahab performed a welfare check on a person who had fainted while in the driver’s seat.

La Plata, Maryland resident Melissa Anne Dudley, 45, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. In the car, suspected cocaine and related paraphernalia were found in plain view.

Michael Lawrence Nelson, 42, of Lexington Park, MD, one of the car’s occupants, escaped on foot during the inquiry but was caught by deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

A folding knife, brass knuckles, and probable cocaine were found during a search that took place after Nelson was arrested.

The other two were identified as Tabitha Marie Wilson, 30, of Lusby, MD, who had originally provided a fictitious identity, and Thomas Edward Dalton, 38, of Hughesville, MD. It was found that Wilson had a current Calvert County warrant for possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

After being transferred to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, all four of the car’s occupants were arrested.

Dudley was charged with both CDS: Paraphernalia and CDS: Not Cannabis Possession. Additionally, she received traffic citations for driving while intoxicated.

Nelson was accused with possessing CDS that was not cannabis, CDS that was paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, concealing a dangerous weapon, and disobeying a reasonable and lawful order.

Dalton was charged with both CDS: Paraphernalia and CDS: Not Cannabis Possession. Wilson was accused of False Statement to Peace Officer, Possession of CDS: Not Cannabis, and Possession of CDS: Paraphernalia.
