The rewriting of history, according to J. K. Rowling, has tempered the severe criticism she faced for her opinions on transgender ideology.

The New York Times reported last week that transgender advocates are reconsidering their all-or-nothing strategy, calling the criticism of detractors such as Rowling “unsparing.”

One of the leading LGBTQ organizations accused J.K. Rowling of betraying true feminism when she said that rejecting any connection between sex and biology was retrograde and extremely patriarchal. According to the story, some irate reviewers uploaded footage of themselves setting her books on fire.

The Harry Potter author responded to this tame account of the backlash on Monday by reminding her X fans that, among other things, she and others had received death threats.

The history is being rewritten. Gender ideology opponents have not just faced harsh criticism. “I haven’t just received betrayed real feminism or received a few book-burning videos,” Rowling commented on Instagram.

She informed me that she had received thousands of threats of violence, rape, and murder. A trans woman supplied a bomb-making guide and the address of my family’s house. The wrong young woman was doxxed by a well-known trans activist who tried to doxx my oldest child.

The damage done to others is far worse than what my family and I have experienced, yet I could write a 20,000-word article about the repercussions for us.

We have all been tarnished and defamed, and many of us have lost our jobs, because we have opposed a movement that is based on guilt by association, ostracism, and threats of violence. Trans activists have violently attacked a number of persons.

Female politicians have been encouraged by the police to employ personal security. For her own safety, renowned endocrinologist Dr. Hillary Cass of the United Kingdom was cautioned against using public transportation.

She went on to say that some people who have been riding high on their own supply are waking up with a terrible hangover, and that this reinterpretation of the backlash has only occurred because the political landscape has changed.

Mealy-mouthed retconning of the past decade’s actual events is anticipated but unacceptable.

Those who have ignored the expulsions of unbelievers or even supported and encouraged them would probably want to downplay the actual cost of speaking out, but yes, perhaps trans activists went a bit too far at times, and their actions are downright offensive, Rowling said.

“I know that when the time comes, the receipts will make very ugly reading, and there are far too many of them to sweep politely under the carpet,” she said, adding that a full reckoning on the impacts of gender ideology on people, society, and politics is still a long way off.
