Following a ten-month investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office into the trafficking of crystal methamphetamine in and around Iredell County, seven individuals are currently being charged with narcotics conspiracy.
Throughout the investigation, ICSO narcotics investigators worked in conjunction with the Winston-Salem Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that recent drug arrests in Winston-Salem, Iredell, Alexander, and Davie counties provided ICSO investigators with crucial information in this investigation.
Additionally, investigators used information gleaned from calls made to the Detention Center, cell phone data, and social media sites. Nearly two pounds of crystal methamphetamine, valued at over $40,000 on the black market, were found during this investigation.
