Sharing is caring!

A lady was jailed by Florida police for literally, if only momentarily, stealing a youngster from a yard last month.

Pamela Monslave, 39, was first charged by Broward County authorities with one count of securing a kid under the age of 13 without parental consent.

A court later found that there was sufficient evidence to bring charges of kidnapping.

The body-worn camera footage from her arrest is now accessible.

The incident happened in the medium-sized coastal city of Hallandale Beach on November 25.

The youngster was allegedly picked up by the defendant, who then departed with him. After two witnesses told his mother, who was inside the house at the time, what had occurred to her son, she allegedly put the youngster back down.

“I can’t imagine what act can cause more extreme fear and distress in a parent than having somebody, not knowing who, go into their property, their fenced-in property, and remove their 3-year-old child,” a prosecutor told a judge during a bond hearing, according to a courtroom report by Miami-based Fox affiliate WSVN.

At the conclusion of the hearing, a judge ordered the defendant’s imprisonment without release, according to Miami’s NBC affiliate WTVJ.

WSVN released the video of Monslave’s arrest this week, which was provided by the Hallandale Beach Police Department.

She may be heard saying, “He was outside,” on the footage. He had no clothes on. He was wearing a shirt, sort of. I implored those around me to call the police because everything was nude, but nobody did. The young youngster would not respond when I asked him, “Where’s your mother?”

“So where’s the little boy now?” inquired an officer. in reaction to the justification.

“Well, they were I got the little boy, and everyone was like, Don’t get the little boy, and I’m like, I gave it back to the mom,” Monslave replied.

Later, the mom displays a puzzled expression when asked where the child was initially.

A policeman asks, “Where’s the playground?”

Monslave’s follow-up: I returned it to the mother when she emerged from outside.

Police claim that there was no past link between the offender and the toddler’s family.

Make sure you pay attention to your kids, your surroundings, and that you know your neighbors and they know you, Hallandale Beach Police Capt. Megan Jones said in a statement.

This incident serves as a prime example of know thy neighbor, as those neighbors successfully prevented the permanent removal of this child.
