Employees who admitted to feeling stressed out by work on an internal HR questionnaire were fired, sparking outrage at the company

Sharing is caring!

After purportedly terminating workers who acknowledged experiencing stress at work in an internal survey, a corporation provoked internet uproar.

According to reports, Yes Madam, a salon home services provider, informed workers who expressed job-related stress via email that they had chosen to cut ties with individuals who expressed high levels of stress.

The company’s human resources manager wrote, “We recently conducted a survey to understand your feelings about stress at work,” in a screenshot of the purported email that was first shared on LinkedIn. Many of you voiced concerns, and we recognize and value that.

As a business committed to fostering a positive and healthy work environment, we gave considerable thought to the suggestions.

They stated, “We have made the difficult decision to part ways with employees who have expressed significant stress in order to ensure that no one is stressed at work.”

The manager added that the decision went into effect right away, causing a flurry among thousands of users on several platforms.

Whoa, so workers now have to worry about not displaying stress? Irony on a whole new level! On LinkedIn, one user left a remark. One person commented on X, “Surely, you cannot be serious.”

What is going on with corporate and startup culture? Another person tweeted that it was getting to a new level of ridiculousness. One LinkedIn user described the toxic work culture at its height.

The Week claims that more than 100 people were fired as a result of the email. The purported email address hasn’t been validated, though.

Yes Madam, a firm that was highlighted on Shark Tank India, has not yet made a public statement regarding the reports.
