Collins sent back to prison after admitting guilt to drug charge

WTVB, Coldwater, MI In Branch County Circuit Court on Monday, a woman who was one of two suspects wanted in relation to a string of bank robberies in three states in 2016 was returned to the Michigan Department of Corrections on a narcotics charge.

Nickole Collins, age 38, pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing a controlled narcotic and was sentenced to 14 months to 10 years in jail. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department took her into custody in April of last year.

Her plea resulted in the dismissal of a second count, a misdemeanor charge, and a chronic offender enhancement. Additionally, Collins received credit for the 110 days he had already served.

Collins pleaded a no guilty plea to counts of unarmed robbery and larceny from a person for her involvement in the March 2016 robbery of the Quincy Century Bank and Trust branch, and in June 2017, she was sentenced to serve concurrent prison terms ranging from five to fifteen years.

In November 2022, Collins was freed from prison.
