Air Care’s fast reaction to a crash on Interstate 71 last night led to the shutdown of both the northbound and southbound lanes.

Traffic was temporarily stopped when a medical helicopter had to land due to an accident that happened between Interstate 275 and Snider Road at 11:30 p.m.

Following the completion of the emergency services’ efforts, WLWT reported that the lanes have reopened.

It was unclear whether any accident victims had been taken to hospitals, the Hamilton County Dispatch told the public.

The medical helicopter flew low and occupied the highway for about an hour, according to Local12. After the accident, the cause of the crash was still a mystery.

Until the wee hours of the morning, officials prevented I-71 from experiencing the typical nighttime traffic.

The severity of the collision caused both sides of the roadway in northern Hamilton County to be closed overnight, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a FOX19 NOW update, trucks resumed their passage just before 3 a.m. on Friday, restoring normalcy.

There are currently few facts available regarding the individuals involved in the accident, and it is uncertain how they are doing. Although the sheriff’s office has not yet released any more details, FOX19 NOW has promised to post them as soon as they become available.

Meanwhile, passengers can consider the brittleness of a nighttime journey, which can suddenly give way to situations that call for rescue helicopters to break the night’s quiet while hovering over the concrete veins that carry our everyday existence.
