After more animals were found in her home, a Muscatine woman who is accused of animal mistreatment was taken into custody on Friday.
After being taken into custody in July, Kelly Adams, 44, was accused of 67 counts of animal mistreatment, including causing the deaths of six animals.
Court filings state that one of Adams’ pretrial release requirements was to avoid being around animals.
Adams’ mobile home was searched by the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
Court documents state that 23 animals—four of them dead—were taken from the mobile home.
Adams is being jailed without bond at the Muscatine County Jail.
