Elon Musk suddenly realizes he has no idea how to govern

Elon Musk hopes you have forgotten that less than 48 hours ago, he backed a government shutdown.

Musk went to X shortly after a new clean spending package failed to clear the House on Thursday night, accusing Democrats of being solely to blame.

Musk said on X that only two Democrats in Congress supported a very fair and straightforward bill that was presented to a vote. Consequently, @RepJeffries bears full responsibility for the shutdown failure.

On another thread, he commented, “Shame on @RepJeffries for rejecting a fair & simple spending bill that is desperately needed by states suffering from hurricane damage.”

Musk carelessly overlooked the fact that the bill was opposed by 38 Republicans as well.

Musk was more than happy to stir up a Republican uprising on Wednesday. He claimed that the government should be shut down until Donald Trump takes office, in addition to denouncing the initial continuing resolution and threatening any Republicans who backed it.

One X user said, “We’ll be fine for 33 days,” to which Musk enthusiastically replied, “YES.”

Before @realDonaldTrump takes office on January 20, no legislation should be passed in Congress. Not at all. In another post, Musk wrote, “Zero.” It seemed like a marching order to the more sycophantic GOP members, and some of them started to dream of a Congress led by Musk. It’s gotten that terrible, yes.

House Speaker Mike Johnson had to work quickly to draft a clean package after Musk’s huge meltdown and Trump’s last-minute request to extend the debt ceiling.

By Wednesday night, Musk had achieved his goal of a government shutdown through his toddler-like outburst. Unfortunately, neither the unelected millionaire nor the president-elect themselves had hoped for it.

Musk’s only remaining option is to point the finger at Democrats, who most likely backed the first bipartisan bill.
