According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, a 39-year-old man is currently incarcerated in relation to a deadly hit-and-run that occurred on Christmas Eve on I-94.
Hussain Farhat, a 40-year-old tow truck driver with Chicago’s Yaffo Towing, was hit and killed on Wednesday while he was lifting a stalled car onto the freeway.
After being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.
The Sheriff’s Department received anonymous information about a possible suspect vehicle at a Welsh property on December 25. The car fit the description of the one that was involved in the incident, investigators found.

The suspect turned himself up during the investigation, and authorities found his car on the property. He has been charged with hit-and-run resulting in death, which is a Class D felony in Wisconsin, and is being held at the Waukesha County Jail.
Yaffo Towing partner and Hussain Farhat’s cousin Ray Dahabrah told Tahleel Mohieldin of TMJ4 that they are planning a funeral and will provide us and other towing groups with information online.

The Wisconsin Towing Association, meanwhile, sent a heartfelt statement on Facebook on Wednesday, offering the tow truck operator’s family their thoughts and prayers.

This shouldn’t have occurred, but it’s much more painful that it did so at Christmas. This incident is being investigated with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol. The Sheriff s Department stated that no other information will be shared at this time.
