In a recent incident that occurred at a WaWa in Gambrills, Maryland, multiple suspects were arrested after an attempted motor vehicle theft.

The event unfolded on Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m. at the WaWa located at 701 Annapolis Road.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the situation began when a man exited a gray Nissan, which was occupied by four other men, and approached a silver 2015 Toyota Prius while the owner of the car was pumping gas.

The suspect attempted to steal the Prius but was unsuccessful in starting the vehicle.

The victim, realizing what was happening, immediately contacted the police. When law enforcement officers arrived, they found the suspect still sitting inside the victim’s car.

The suspect was quickly apprehended, and a search revealed that he was carrying a loaded 9mm Glock 19 handgun.

This discovery raised immediate concerns about the suspect’s potential intentions beyond the attempted theft.

As the investigation continued, the police searched the gray Nissan that the suspect had arrived in.

Inside the vehicle, officers found more firearms, including a loaded 9mm Springfield XD handgun and a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun.

The presence of these weapons suggested that the group may have had more serious plans, and the incident became even more alarming.

The authorities identified and arrested the four other male suspects in the vehicle.

All five suspects have since been charged in connection with the attempted theft and the possession of firearms.
