Following a bust at a home near Fetters Hot Springs on Thursday, when drugs and firearms were found, Sonoma County authorities detained three individuals on several criminal charges.
Officers from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s narcotics unit served a search warrant at a residence on the 100 block of Mountain Ave. in an unincorporated part of the county on Thursday, according to a post on the sheriff’s Facebook page on Friday morning. Following several complaints from the community in recent months, the residence in issue was the focus of an investigation.
As the warrant was served, patrol deputies helped the detectives working on the case. Three individuals were arrested on multiple criminal accusations pertaining to drug and firearm offenses, among other people detained by authorities at the property.
Michael Armstrong, a 58-year-old resident of Santa Rosa, was taken into custody on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of fentanyl and several firearms and ammunition. A 56-year-old Santa Rosa homeowner named Jacqueline Armstrong was taken into custody for possessing several weapons, ammo, and fentanyl for sale, all of which are forbidden items. She had a pending warrant as well. Following their posting of bail, both were released.
Steven Finch, a 67-year-old Santa Rosa resident and the third suspect, was arrested for a number of serious offenses, including possession of a short-barreled shotgun, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance while carrying a loaded firearm, possession of multiple firearms and ammunition, and possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors.
Deputies found that Finch had more fentanyl strapped to his leg as he was being booked at the Sonoma County Jail. He was also accused of possessing fentanyl for sale and carrying a controlled narcotic into a correctional facility. Finch is still being held without posting bail.
