On January 28, Wayfarer Tavern, which offers a distinctive dining experience in Northern Kentucky, will formally open.

The restaurant will start serving its much anticipated bar-style pizzas, along with contemporary bar appetizers, salads, and first-rate bar service, after a soft launch in December.

In a press release, Wayfarer Tavern’s founder, Mike Dew, a native of Northern Kentucky, stated that the establishment’s goal is to provide Dayton, Kentucky with a fine and distinctive eating experience that fosters human connection, celebrates shared experiences, and evokes emotion. We create these experiences through our pizza.

At 635 Sixth Avenue, Dew occupied 3,000 square feet of the historic Burton Building.

Cut into Midwestern tavern-style squares, the tavern’s pizza is a unique combination of East Coast thin and crispy bar-style pizza with a Detroit-style caramelized cheese edge.

While the Pickle Power offers roasted garlic white sauce, pickles, crispy potato chips, herbs, and a magic ranch dressing recipe, the Tavern Classic has housemade fennel sausage, onion, banana peppers, and red sauce.

There is more than just pizza for customers to choose from. Shareable dishes and salads are also on the menu.

Wayfarer Tavern has a specially designed bar with a tailored wine list, specialized cocktails, and a carefully chosen beer selection.
