31-year-old Antioch man killed in Pittsburg shooting

On Wednesday evening, a guy from Antioch was shot and murdered in Pittsburg.

A citizen approached a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crew about a shooting that had taken place at the intersection of Century and North Park boulevards just after 9 p.m. while they were on an unrelated incident.

When Pittsburg police and firefighters arrived, they discovered a 31-year-old guy in a car with a gunshot wound. After receiving medical attention and being taken to a hospital, the victim passed away.

The man’s identity is being withheld by the police until his nearest of kin has been notified.
