A U.S. citizen can determine when the funds will be accessible each month once they begin receiving their monthly Social Security check. Given that the payment calendar is the kind of calendar that frequently repeats itself month after month, it is simple to determine this simply by looking at it.

However, the conditions to be a member of any group cannot be altered, and each Social Security payment day is for a separate group. Since we are unable to alter the date of our monthly payment, it is wise to consult the payment schedule and always bear it in mind when planning our regular spending.

How to get the next Social Security payment in February?

February 12, 2025, is the day on which the new Social Security check will be issued. Only Group 2 retirees are eligible to receive this payment on this day. The first condition has already been satisfied if your birthday falls between the first and tenth of any given month.

The year of retirement, however, is an additional criteria that must be fulfilled. A before and after comparison of Social Security groups is made in May 1997. Therefore, one group is made up of people who retired prior to that year, while three groups are made up of people who retired after that year.

To be explicit, the following two conditions must be met in order for the money to be collected on February 12, 2025:

  • Be born between the 1st and 10th day of any month.
  • Have been receiving a Social Security benefit since after May 1997.

It doesn’t matter what kind of advantage we get or how much we get. As long as we are in group 2, it won’t matter if our check is the maximum or an average payment; we will still receive the check on February 12.

Lastly, it is crucial to remember that the Social Security payment will not be received on February 12th itself if the quickest collection option is not used. The payment will still come even if we don’t enable Direct Deposit; it will just take a few days longer.
