Police: One person was killed in a crash in Chesterfield County overnight

Police in South Carolina say that one person was killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Chesterfield County.

The accident took place around 12:30 a.m. on South Carolina Highway 9 near Coon Creek Road, according to the police.

While going west on South Carolina Highway 9, a Ford pickup truck hit a Toyota car going east in the head.

The driver of the pick-up truck was not hurt, but the driver of the Toyota sedan killed. The only person inside the pickup truck at the time of the accident was the driver.
