A Florida man has been accused of a string of church burglaries, and authorities now have even more evidence against him thanks to his phone’s search history.
Jeremy Lang, a 20-year-old from Pensacola, was arrested last week for allegedly breaking into a church in the local area.
The Pensacola Police Department has been investigating a series of burglaries that took place between September 24 and October 12, involving seven different churches.
After Lang’s arrest, a closer look at his phone revealed some disturbing internet searches, according to WEAR.
The police found that Lang had been searching for terms like “Where do churches keep money?” and “Do churches have safes?” Even more concerning, his search history included queries like “How to cut a shirt into a mask,” raising suspicions about his intent to disguise himself during the break-ins.
Initially, Lang faced several charges, including burglary, drug possession, and possession of burglary tools and a firearm.
However, after further investigation, authorities have added multiple new charges.

Lang remains in jail with a bond set at $270,000, awaiting his next court date. Police continue their investigation into the church break-ins, and Lang may face additional charges as the case unfolds.
