A look at North Carolina’s most expensive houses

The most pricey house in North Carolina has been sold in Linville.

First Sotheby’s International Realty says that the Lazy Bear Lodge on Flattop Cliffs Drive sold for $14 million on October 16.

Someone from the office said that when the compound was sold, it was the most expensive home in both Carolinas.

The cabin sits on almost 6 acres of land on top of Flattop Cliffs, with a view of Grandfather Mountain. These acres have four private lots with gates that hold the Folly House and the Hobbit House.

The main house is more than 10,000 square feet and was built in 2007. It has 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and a basement. Along with stone and wood from nearby, the building used the barks of cypress, golden birch, poplar, and cherry trees.

They carved and put elk horn pulls on the kitchen cabinets. In the meantime, the great room has a 25-foot-tall wooden frame.

There are walk-in closets, a downdraft cooktop, a gas cooktop, a wall oven, a wine cooler, a fire pit, an in-ground gas grill, a golf cart garage, surround sound, and a generator in the house. There is also a golf simulator in one of the other houses.
