Scotland County man wanted for Hamlet domestic violence case

HAMLET: Police need your help to find a guy from Scotland County who is wanted on charges of kidnapping and breaking and entering in a case of domestic violence.

Investigators with the Hamlet Police Department say that 25-year-old Lamondrick Keon Blue, who has homes in both Laurinburg and Wagram, was just let out of jail and caused trouble at the Tall Pines Apartments.

Blue is said to have grabbed a stick and threatened to kill the victim. The victim then pepper-sprayed her attacker and ran to a neighbor’s house.

Police say Blue followed her and climbed through a window with a gun in his hand. Blue, however, is said to have left the scene before police came.

On October 10, police put Blue’s mugshot on the HPD Facebook page and said they had current arrest warrants for him on charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary.

Online court records show that Blue is already facing several charges linked to domestic violence.

Blue is accused of breaking and entering with the intent to scare or hurt someone, interfering with emergency communications, and resisting a public officer in a case that was brought on April 7.

The state kept that case going on August 1, and a meeting to decide what to do with it was set for Thursday, October 24.

On July 21, Blue was charged with making threats. The next meeting in that case is set for November 7.

The Hamlet Police Department took care of both of those cases.

A search of the N.C. Department of Adult Correction shows that Blue was found guilty of second-degree trespassing and misdemeanor breaking and entering in Scotland County in 2022. His sentence was canceled.
