The Halloween Booze It & Lose It promotion is currently running

There will be a program called “Halloween Booze It & Lose It” from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3 run by the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

The project’s launch will take place on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the NC State Fair, behind the Kerr Scott Building and close to gate 10.

Patrols will be going out more often to remind drivers of how dangerous it is to drive while impaired by drugs or drink.

“Drugs that make you less alert are a major cause of death by vehicle among teen drivers.” This ad stresses again how important it is to be a good driver during the busy fall season of school events and celebrations.

NCDOT said in a news release that NCGHSP Director Mark Ezzell, N.C. State Highway Patrol Col. Freddy Johnson, Jr., N.C. High School Athletic Association Associate Commissioner Karen DeHart, and a teen driver safety advocate will all speak at the event.
