A Kansas City man has been charged in connection with Instagram post containing deadly threats

In a post that he made on Instagram, a man from Kansas City has been charged with making a threat to carry out a shooting that would result in the death of another person.

According to the records that were submitted to the Circuit Court of Clay County, Missouri on Thursday, October 24, it was revealed that Kendall L. Wabnum, age 21, from Kansas City, was charged with making terrorist threats in connection with an Instagram post.

On December 11, 2023, according to the documents filed in the court, Wabnum communicated with followers threats to cause a shooting that resulted in the death of a person. Each of the comments was made with the intention of frightening a minimum of ten individuals.

Wabnum is subject to a maximum sentence of seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, according to officials from the administration of law enforcement. Additionally, he may be subject to a fine of up to $10,000.

Wabnum had been released from custody as of Sunday with a bond. On November 8 at nine o’clock in the morning, an arraignment is scheduled to take place. The release of any additional information has not occurred.
