SNAP payments: Which States are sending Food Stamps on Election Day?

For thousands of Americans who get SNAP benefits, Election Day will be a payment date. Of course, you need to get permission from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) before you can get any of this money. Remember that the 2025 COLA increase has been a part of all Food Stamps since October 1, 2024.

In some states, SNAP benefits are over because all the monthly payments are made on the same payday. In Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, North Dakota, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, for example, all Food Stamps were sent to EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) cards on November 1.
