According to police: Photographer Was Allegedly Killed by Woman Upset Over Photos, as Suspect’s Girlfriend Livestreamed Attack

Police in Florida have detained one lady in connection with a homicide and are seeking for another woman who allegedly livestreamed the killing on social media.

Lauren Ashley Martin, 34, died after being shot multiple times outside a home in Sanford, Fla., on Tuesday, Nov. 5, according to the Sanford Police Department.

Savon Chantay Tyler, 35, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the killing. Sanford police announced on Friday that they had charged another woman, Lakevia Davonna Pringle, for streaming the incident on social media.

Tyler and Martin were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the killing, according to Sanford police.

Martin’s relatives told WESH that she was a photographer who had a long-running fight with Tyler over photos she took of the suspect.

The victim’s aunt informed the publication that there were comments made online, without providing any other specifics, and that after some “back and forth” between the commentators, the situation “spiraled out of control.”

On Tuesday evening, only hours before the death, Martin livestreamed a video on her Facebook page, repeatedly stating that she was going to Sanford to “beat” someone.

Martin traveled to Tyler’s house, where they had a verbal dispute before becoming physically violent, according to Sanford police.

The Miami Herald said that Pringle, Tyler’s girlfriend, videotaped the encounter live on Facebook, citing an arrest document.

According to the affidavit, the livestream from Pringle’s phone showed Tyler exiting the residence with a child’s baseball bat and a gun before resting the gun on the ground.

When the victim and the suspect start fighting, Martin grabs the bat, according to The Miami Herald, citing the affidavit. Tyler then reportedly grabs the gun and shoots Martin.

“While live streaming, Pringle can be heard encouraging Tyler to continue the altercation, which led to the homicide of [Martin],” Sanford police said in a statement Friday.

In a GoFundMe page set up for Martin’s three children and funeral expenses, her family stated she was “affectionately known as ‘Bubbles,’” and that her abrupt death was a “tragic loss.”

Tyler is being jailed without bond on a charge of premeditated murder, according to online court records in Seminole County. She has pleaded not guilty, according to public documents.

As of Friday afternoon, Pringle had not been apprehended. On November 8, Sanford Police issued a warrant for Pringle on one count of first-degree premeditated homicide.

Investigators are asking anybody with information regarding this crime or Pringle’s whereabouts to call the Sanford Police Department or Crimeline at 800 423-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimeline.org.
