For a missing 13-year-old in Ohio, an AMBER Alert has been issued

An Amber Alert has been issued statewide for Makenzie Hall, 13, who was reported missing from Columbus, Ohio, in the early hours of November 8, 2024.

Makenzie is described as a white female standing 5’7″ tall and weighing 115 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, white shoes, and holding a pink backpack.

Shane Steven Smith, 48, has been identified as the primary suspect in her disappearance. Smith is a white male standing 5’11” tall and weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

The suspect is believed to be driving a white 2004 Ford Ranger with the Ohio license plate HRW1901.

Makenzie was last spotted on South Huron Avenue in Columbus, Franklin County. Police believe she may be in immediate danger.

Anyone who sees Makenzie, the suspect, or the vehicle should call 911 immediately.
