A pedestrian was struck on the highway overnight in Colerain Township

Police are investigating after a person was struck by a car on the highway in Colerain Township early Sunday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., it occurred northbound on US 27 at West Kemper Road.

The victim’s condition is unknown.

According to Hamilton County dispatch, the driver involved in the mishap remained on the scene following the accident.

Colerain Township police were investigating for several hours Sunday morning, closing portions of the route.

Another person was struck by a car on neighboring Interstate 75 about an hour later. The victim of that crash died as a result of their injuries after being transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by first responders.
