Who will not receive their Social Security check on November 20

The Social Security Administration has clarified that not everyone will receive their check on November 20. While this date is significant for certain groups of beneficiaries, many others will have to wait for their designated payment dates. Are you among those who won’t see a deposit that day? Here’s everything you need to know.

The November 20 check is exclusively for those who were born between the 11th and the 20th of any month. This applies to retirees, widows or widowers, veterans, and individuals with disabilities who qualify for benefits. If your birthday doesn’t fall within this range, your check will arrive on a different date.

Here’s the full payment schedule for November

  • November 13: The first payment goes to those born between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
  • November 20: Reserved for beneficiaries with birthdays from the 11th to the 20th.
  • November 27: The final payment of the month is for those born between the 21st and the 31st of any month.

Additionally, recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will also not receive a check on November 20. Instead, SSI beneficiaries will get two payments in November. The first arrived on November 1, and the second will be deposited on November 29, in advance of the December payment, as December 1 falls on a Sunday.

So, if your birthday doesn’t fall between November 11 and November 20, or if you’re an SSI recipient, the 20th will simply be another ordinary day. However, rest assured that your payment is on the way, just on a different schedule.

Double-check your assigned payment date and ensure your account information is up to date. While you may not receive your check on November 20, the Social Security Administration guarantees that everyone will get their payment on time according to the established calendar.
