Nearly 30 arrests, methamphetamine, and illegal firearms seized during crime blitz

This week, deputies cleared the streets of firearms and drugs.

Deputies led “Operation Unity” on Thursday to combat theft and drug-related offenses, according to a social media post from the Franklin Sheriff’s Office.

More than 40% of the 62 traffic stops that deputies made led to arrests.

One of them is a 17-year-old who was caught with an AR-15-style pistol.

One more driver was caught with an OVI while carrying two kids. There were also two illegal guns found in that car.

In total, deputies found 15 grams of methamphetamine, 8 guns that were not supposed to be there, and 3 grams of cocaine.

They also caught 15 people with felonies and 11 people with misdemeanors.
