A two-month-old infant died after getting into touch with meth, according to law enforcement.
On Thursday, the Lakewood Police Department posted information about the case on social media, revealing that the child’s mother and boyfriend had been arrested.
On July 26, officers were called to a residence in the 500 block of Vance Street regarding an unconscious baby.
The area is close to Newland Station on the north side of the city. The two-month-old was found dead when the cops came.
According to the report, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Officer concluded that methamphetamine poisoning was the cause of 2-month-old Ezra Johnson’s death.
Lisa Marie Johnson, the child’s 31-year-old mother, is suspected of first-degree murder. Alexander Avila, Johnson’s 33-year-old lover, is also charged.
