As the search for missing Maui lady Hannah Kobayashi continues, her father has been found dead in Los Angeles

Authorities have discovered Hannah Kobayashi’s father dead in Los Angeles while they continue to seek for the 30-year-old Maui woman.

The Los Angeles Police Department found Ryan Kobayashi, 58, dead in a parking lot close to LAX airport early on Sunday morning, according to NBC Los Angeles. His death was most likely caused by suicide.

Ryan was distributing missing persons flyers to individuals on the streets of Los Angeles just a few days prior, offering to use every resource at his disposal to locate his daughter.

At the time, he told the media, “She’s a wonderful person who brings joy to so many people.”

Since his daughter stopped at Los Angeles International Airport on her way from Hawaii to New York City on November 8, Ryan had come to Los Angeles to help in the hunt for her.

In New York, Hannah met with her aunt Geordan Montalvo and her aunt’s husband Bob. They all had tickets to a concert on November 12th. They called the excursion a “bucket list” vacation.

However, on November 8, the 30-year-old failed to make her subsequent flight at LAX.

She was seen the next day at a bookshop in The Grove, a well-known outdoor shopping center in Los Angeles. She was spotted at a LeBron James event a day later.

Surveillance footage shows her with an unknown individual at a downtown Los Angeles Metro stop on November 11.

Larie Pidgeon, Hannah’s aunt, informed KTLA 5 that her niece wasn’t feeling well. She said, “I’m not safe, and I’m not alone.”

Hannah’s family earlier criticized the slow-moving investigation, telling the Daily Mail that police had not contacted them for ten days after Hannah went missing.

Hannah claimed to have been duped into giving away all of my money to someone I believed I loved in cryptic texts she sent to a friend before she disappeared.

Sydni Kobayashi, her sister, described the texts as “very strange.” Hannah went on to say that she was unable to go home because she was afraid.

The texts abruptly stopped after that.

Hannah weighs around 140 pounds and stands 5 feet 10 inches tall. She has pale skin, freckles, and brown eyes and hair.

Hannah is still being sought after.
