Two people from Laurinburg are suspected of stealing from their Aberdeen employer.

Two former Walmart workers in Aberdeen are being charged with felonies. 19-year-old N. Diaasia Crosland of Laurinburg was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, felony theft by an employee, and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.

Following her arrest, Fantasia Terry, 19, of Laurinburg, was charged with misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, felony theft by an employee, and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.

Following many larcenies, Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis said his officers were called to the Walmart on Turner Street on November 22.

According to a news release from Chavis, officers were informed upon arrival that an employee, named as Crosland, had stolen many goods at different times, both while on duty and after clocking out. Through the examination of video surveillance and the collection of statements, officers looked into the claims.

According to Chavis, the alleged thefts took place on November 2, November 8, and September 28.

On November 24, officers were summoned back to Walmart.

Officers were informed upon arrival that Terry, an employee, had stolen many items at different occasions, both while on duty and after leaving work, Chavis recounted. Through the examination of video surveillance and the collection of statements, officers looked into the claims.

The thefts are said to have taken place on November 5, 10, 11, and 12.
