A 17-year-old was shot in the stomach in Laurinburg

LAURINBURG, NC — Officers from the Laurinburg Police Department rushed to the Plaza Road and Shopping Center Access intersection on Saturday afternoon in response to reports of gunfire and a probable gunshot victim.

According to Lt. Jeremy White, police discovered a possible victim being brought to Scotland Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle while on the way.

White stated that cops arrived at the hospital and spoke with a 17-year-old who had been shot in the abdomen but was in stable condition.

The investigation is presently underway.
