North Carolina Education Lottery officials said a guy from Gastonia won the huge $1 million top prize in a new scratch-off game.

He bought a $10 50X The Cash ticket at the Gastonia Triple E Express & Grill on Bessemer City Road. The winning ticket was worth up to $1 million, which was the biggest prize in the game.

Bustamante had two choices when he got to the lottery offices to claim his prize. There were two ways for him to get the prize: $50,000 a year for 20 years, or all at once. He took the lump sum, and after taxes, he had $429,003 left over.

When 50X The Cash first came out in February, there were six $1 million prizes. The lottery says there is only one grand prize left to be claimed.
