A guy has been taken into custody by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office in relation to a shooting that occurred in November and left one victim seriously hurt.
Following reports of a shooting, police were called to Curlew Road on November 16. After finding a woman who had been shot multiple times, police took her to a nearby hospital, where, despite her potentially fatal injuries, her condition was declared as stable.
Dequan Maurice Bratten, 32, of Salisbury, was named by police as a suspect in the shooting and they asked for the public’s help in finding him.
Police reported on December 26 that they had located a property on Princess Anne’s Pine Knoll Drive as a result of their inquiry. After being found during a home search, Bratten was placed under arrest. Princess Anne resident Qualesha Nyshae Lewis, 31, was also taken into custody and accused of sheltering a fugitive or criminal.
The investigation into the shooting is still underway, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, and police are searching for other people who might have helped Bratten following the incident. Police are asking anyone with information to get in touch.
