Area teacher placed on leave due to alleged social media content

A Butler County teacher is on leave while the district investigates alleged content posted on social media.

The Talawanda City School District in Oxford announced Friday that a Talawanda High School teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.

It is unclear whether the content was posted on school property or on the district’s device and network.

According to Talawanda Schools, the district received numerous concerns and reports about the social media content.

“The Superintendent’s office, Human Resources, and the THS Administration are taking parent and community concerns very seriously in regard to this matter,” according to Talawanda Schools. “The district will not be able to comment further during the investigation process.”
