The San Jose Fire Department reports that one person was hurt in a two-alarm residence fire that was put out by firefighters on Friday afternoon in the city’s Mayfair district.
According to the Fire Department’s X account, firefighters were dispatched to the 1800 block of Stowe Avenue at approximately 2:10 p.m.
According to PulsePoint, a website that monitors fire department responses, six fire engines responded to the call.
Another home in the 100 block of Heller Place, which crosses Stowe Avenue, was affected by the domestic fire.

According to the fire department, at least one person was injured. At 3:23 p.m., the Fire Department sent out a warning asking the public to stay away from the area.
Four residents were forced to leave the property on Stowe Avenue due to significant damage. Significant damage was also done to the Heller Place property, which resulted in the displacement of four more occupants and three dogs. There were three outbuildings as well.
