A Swiftie mom loves Taylor Swift so much that she went to two of her performances while she was pregnant.

Rachel Cundiff Youde, who is 19 weeks pregnant with her second child, tells TODAY.com, “I’m a real Swiftie.” “Ever since she first became famous when I was in middle school, I’ve been crazy about her.”

Youde, an attorney from Maine, went to two Eras Tour shows in Massachusetts and Florida even though she was pregnant. She said in a TikTok video that she only goes to the Tour when she is pregnant.

Swiftie moms chimed in on the post:

  • “The first Eras Tour show I went to, my youngest baby was four months and I pumped for him at the show. He will turn 2 on the weekend I go again.”
  • “Just went to Miami (show) at 31 weeks pregnant.”
  • “I was pregnant with my daughter during The Red Tour … I was pregnant with my son during 1989 (World Tour) and my other son during the Reputation (Tour).”
  • “I was 36 weeks pregnant for London night 1 … and then 7 weeks postpartum for London night 5.”

In May 2023, Youde saw Swift perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. She was 37 weeks pregnant with her daughter Charlotte at the time.

Youde bought the tickets when she was in her first trimester.

Youde says, “I did the math and found that I would be 37 weeks… but I really wanted to go.” Youde brought her maternity bag and car seat because her doctor told her to and because she planned to give birth at a nearby hospital if she went into labor at the show.

Some Swift fans have almost given birth at Eras Tour shows.

According to the local news station WPRI, another Swift fan went into labor in the parking lot of the Foxborough venue the same night that Youde saw her play. The woman gave birth at a nearby hospital.

And in 2023, Tori Hedges, a pregnant fan of Swift’s, started labor soon after one of her shows in Ohio. She was taken from the show to the hospital, where she gave birth to a boy.

Hedges told the local news station WKRC, “People say that becoming a mother marked the beginning of my new era. So I say, leave the Eras Tour and enter my new one.”

To see the pop star play at the Hard Rock Stadium this month, Youde flew there while 18 weeks pregnant with her son. She bought tickets for Youde, but she didn’t know that Youde was pregnant.

As a joke, she told Youde, who is expected in March, “You’d better not get pregnant this time.”

After a few weeks, Youde shocked her family by giving her daughter a T-shirt that said “In My Big Sis Era,” which was a pun on the Eras Tour.

Since Youde was less pregnant this time, she was able to enjoy the Swift concert more easily. So, she’s adding Swift to her birth plan by making a mix of her favorite songs.

The words to Taylor Swift’s songs have helped you get through both good and bad times in your life, says Youde.

“I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” she said, “is about getting through a really hard time. I think that’s really relevant to labor.”
