BART Red Line service halted because of trackside equipment problem

The transit agency reported that BART service was restored on the Red Line following an issue with trackside equipment.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., BART released an advisory regarding the incident.

Red Line service isn’t available right now. Take the shuttle train from SFO to Millbrae, then change to/from the Yellow line (Antioch-SFO) to get to Millbrae. From Richmond, Millbrae passengers board the Orange/Berryessa train, changing to the Yellow/SFO train at MacArthur.

The shuttle train between SFO and Millbrae is recommended for passengers heading to Millbrae, and they can transfer to or from the Yellow line.

According to transit officials, passengers traveling from Richmond can board the Orange/Berryessa line and change to the Yellow/SFO train at MacArthur.

There were delays on the SFO line in the Antioch, Richmond, SFO, and Millbrae directions as a result of a train being taken out of service due to an equipment issue, according to BART.

The return date of regular service has not yet been estimated.
