Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, has been responsible for a dramatic increase in overdose deaths across the United States, with many of these fatalities linked to its presence in illegal drugs like heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

Its potency makes even a small amount potentially lethal. According to the DEA, just two milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal, depending on the individual’s size, tolerance, and usage history. This deadly substance has fueled the ongoing opioid crisis, which has only worsened in recent years.
