Four individuals who were discovered dead in a Santa Rosa mobile home last week have been identified by authorities as a married couple and their grown children.
The deceased have been identified by the Sonoma County coroner as Clive Guth, 67, Donna Guth, their 33-year-old daughter Raena Guth, and their 28-year-old son Cameron Guth, Santa Rosa police said Tuesday. Police stated that Clive and Donna Guth had previously been married, but they did not provide any other details.
While cops conducted a welfare check at a residence in the Valle Vista neighborhood on the 200 block of Monarch Court on Wednesday afternoon, all four were discovered dead. After a few days, one of the residents’ boyfriends reported that he had not heard from his girlfriend, prompting the police to be called to the house.
Officers broke in through a window when they got there. Each of the four individuals was discovered with severe gunshot wounds in various parts of the house.
According to authorities, a firearm was discovered next to one of the dead.
When she found out about the crime, Geri Tapparo, a neighbor who came to the senior mobile home neighborhood last July, was taken aback.
“It’s just a shock,” she said after the incident on CBS News Bay Area. “So quiet out here.”
Although Tapparo claimed that the neighborhood is very safe, she has saw police officers arrive at her neighbor’s home before.
According to Tapparo, “they’ve been there a couple of times,” “Cause you can see right out of our kitchen window and not with lights going on or anything, but they just pulled up and went in to speak.”
According to police on Tuesday, the department’s Violent Crimes Investigation (VCI) Team is still looking into the cause, circumstances, and purpose of death.
