A 28-year-old male was discovered dead in Avondale on Sunday morning from a gunshot wound, according to the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD).
Around 9:30 a.m., according to CPD, police were called to the 3600 block of Alaska Avenue after learning that someone was laying behind an empty apartment building.
Darius Fletcher was found by officers wounded by a gunshot. He was declared dead by first responders.
Whether CPD has any suspects in the shooting has not been disclosed.
According to CPD, the shooting is being looked into by its Homicide Unit. It is requested that anyone with information regarding Fletcher’s death contact the Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
