Denville Police Officer Struck by Fleeing Driver, Suspect Caught at Costco!

A man named Liam Harrigan was arrested after hitting a Denville police officer during a traffic stop and then fleeing the scene.

It all started when officers pulled Harrigan over on Indian Road and found out he had an active warrant issued by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

When officers tried to arrest him, Harrigan sped away in his vehicle. While escaping, he hit one of the officers, who fortunately only suffered minor injuries.

After a brief chase, New Jersey State Police discovered Harrigan’s car abandoned along Route 80 East in Fairfield.

Further investigation revealed that Harrigan was at a nearby Costco on Route 23.

Police were able to find Harrigan at the Costco and arrested him without further incident.

He now faces multiple charges, including eluding police, obstruction, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, assault by auto, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harrigan was also charged with traffic violations like reckless driving and speeding.

The Denville officer who was hit is expected to recover from his minor injuries, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
