A lawsuit has been filed by the family of Jason Scott, one of the workers who died during the gas leak at the PEMEX plant last week.

The incident, which took place on October 10, led to the deaths of two workers and left many others injured.

The gas release caused authorities to issue shelter-in-place orders for the nearby areas of Deer Park and Pasadena.

Scott’s family is accusing the company and its partners of negligence in their wrongful death lawsuit.

The family’s claim states that Scott endured severe pain and injuries due to the toxic gas before he passed away.

They also mention that his wife, children, and parents are deeply affected and have lost a beloved family member because of the company’s actions.
