The municipal manager acknowledged that the FBI executed a warrant at the residence of a council member in San Leandro on Wednesday.

The city is aware that FBI investigators executed a warrant at the residence of Councilmember Bryan Azevedo, according to City Manager Paul Sanftner.

Although they acknowledged serving a warrant at the 900 block of Dillo Street, the FBI stated they were unable to provide any other details.

According to Sanftner, the probe did not involve the city’s police force.

Azevedo, who represents District 2 on the council, just won reelection.

Councilmember Azevedo, the city council, and the city attorney have not responded to CBS News Bay Area’s inquiries.
