FEMA: $203 million in disaster relief delivered directly to North Carolina residents

ASHEVILLE, NC – The Federal Emergency Management Agency says more than 122,000 homes in western North Carolina have been eligible for disaster assistance funds.

Following Hurricane Helene, the government reported that $203 million was distributed directly to state homeowners and renters.

FEMA is now providing motels to around 3,900 families in western North Carolina.

North Carolina now has 21 Disaster Recovery Centers open. All are open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
