A new SSDI payment for December 11, 2024, has been certified by the SSA. On December 3, certain Disability Insurance policyholders who had received payments before May 1997 or who were also receiving SSI benefits were paid out.

There will be two further checks, one on the third, if you are not eligible for SSDI on December 11. You must have worked and paid enough payroll taxes in order to be eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance. Additionally, you must have a qualifying handicap that meets the strict criteria for disability set forth by the Social Security Administration.

Regardless of the month of your birth, you must have been born between January 1st and December 10th in order to be eligible for SSDI on December 11, 2024. You won’t qualify if you’re on SSI or got payments before May 1997.

On December 18, people who were born between the ages of 11 and 20 will start receiving Social Security Disability Insurance benefits. On Wednesdays, disability compensation will be paid for December 11 and 18.

Nevertheless, the fourth Wednesday in December 2024 will not see the delivery of the last SSDI payment. This is because Wednesday, December 25, which is also a federal holiday, is when Americans celebrate Christmas.

It is unlikely for a high-income individual to obtain up to $3,822. Only those who have earned the taxable limit for 35 years are eligible to receive such a substantial amount from Social Security.

The 2025 COLA increase will not be included in December SSDI payouts. Therefore, in order to get their new and updated payment reflecting the 2025 COLA, eligible claimants will need to wait until January 3, 8, 15, or 22.
